Inez L. Taylor, 84

Wednesday March 3, 2010 Inez L. Taylor, 84, of Troy went to rest in the peace of her Lord on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Towanda Memorial Skilled Nursing Unit.

Inez was born on Feb. 23, 1925, in Owego, N.Y., the daughter of the late Henry and Olive (Campbell) Lurcock. Inez married John Taylor and together they raised three sons, a step-son and grandson. They also owned Taylor's Greenhouse until her retirement in 1972. She was a 65-year charter member of the VFW Post 1371 Ladies Auxiliary in Owego, NY, and volunteered many years to the Boy Scouts of America.

Inez was pre-deceased by her husband John, and a step-son James.

Inez is survived by: her sons and daughters-in-law John and Betsy (Nickel) Taylor of Horsham, PA; Joe Taylor and family of Troy, and Thomas Taylor of Glenside, PA; grandchildren Michael and Hiroki; sisters Dorothy McClave, Alberta Hildebrand and Joyce Lurcock; brother Bill Lurcock; great-grandson Michael Taylor; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive.

A memorial service will be announced at a future date with burial to take place at the convenience of the family in Epiphany Cemetery, Sayre.
