Both the Canton Warriors and the Troy Trojans will send one wrestler onto the PIAA Regional Tournament in Williamsport next weekend.
Canton's Garth Mahosky earned his trip with a 5-4 win over Dylan Hornberger of Mount Carmel. Beau Parker, Troy, advanced with a fourth place finish. Parker forfeited his final match to Mike Cobb of Wyalusing.
In the team race Canton took 23rd place while Troy finished at 14th. Benton won the team title over Athens and Shamokin.
103 - Darren Killian (C) lost matches in the preliminaries and consolations; Chad Vermilya (T) won his preliminary match, lost in the quarterfinals, won a consolation match then lost in the consolation quarterfinals.
135 - Garth Mahosky (C) won matches in the preliminaries and quarterfinals, lost in the semis and the consolation semis. 145 - Codie Ross (C) won in preliminaries; lost in the quarterfinals and the consolations.
152 - Brandon Spiak (T) won his preliminary match, lost in the quarterfinals, won two consolation matches and lost in the consolation semifinals.
Ben Pepper (C) lost in the preliminaries and consolations.
160 - Beau Parker (T) won his preliminary and quarterfinal matches; lost in the semifinals; won the consolation semifinals; 171 - Kaleb Route (C) won his preliminary match, lost in the quarterfinals and consolations.
5th place: 135 - Mahosky (Canton) dec. Hornberger (Mt. Carmel) 5-4.
4th place: 160 - Cobb (Wyalusing) by forfeit Beau Parker (Troy).
