The Friends of the Green Free Library met on February 24 for the first of the workshops they are offering to the community. Mary Campbell reviewed the book "Frozen Laundry and Depression Soup." A fire in McCallum Manor that is believed to have been accidental caused serious injuries to one resident and forced the evacuation of all fifty residents of the building. The fire broke out shortly after 12:10 pm on Tuesday, February 16.
