The winter storms pretty well shut down this section on Thursday and Friday, February 25 and 26. Schools were closed, events cancelled or postponed, and many businesses did not open or closed early on those days. Canton Area Schools will have early dismissal on March 11 for Parent-Teacher Conferences. There will be no school for students on March 12 for Teacher In-Service. Students in the Canton Area School District will have school on March 15 to make up for the day lost to snow on February 25. On the school calendar, no school had been scheduled for March 15....
